Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Is a galvanized service line worth replacing before it breaks?

Usually, because galvanized pipe narrows from the inside for years before it leaks, and the replacement gets done on your schedule instead of during a thaw. The pipe material is visible where the line enters the basement.

Can a buried water line be replaced without digging up the yard?

Often yes, since a new line can be pulled through the old path from a pit at each end. Whether that works depends on what the old pipe is made of and what else is buried alongside it.

My water pressure dropped and the yard has a wet patch. What is that?

Usually a break in the buried service line, and the wet ground is the water taking the easiest way up. Close the main shutoff and get it looked at before the washout undermines anything.

Is a lead service line likely in a house this old?

It's possible in older housing, and the way to know is to look at where the pipe comes through the wall or floor rather than to guess from the build date. Utilities keep records of what they installed on the street side.
