Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What does a plumber actually do on a root call?

The usual sequence is to open the cleanout, clear the blockage with a cable or a jetter, then run a camera to see what caused it and how much pipe is affected. The camera pass is the part that turns a repeat problem into a decision. Ask for the footage and the measured distance to the trouble spot.

Does the town clear the blockage if it's under the road?

Municipalities generally maintain the public main and nothing beyond it, so a blockage in your lateral stays yours even where it crosses public ground. Some places will send someone to check the main first, which is useful because it rules out the one thing that isn't your responsibility. Call the local public works office to ask before assuming either way.

I'm on a septic system, not a sewer. Do roots still matter?

Yes. Roots invade the line between the house and the tank and they also work into the leach field, where they can cut the field's capacity without any warning inside the house. Slow drains plus soggy ground over the field is the combination worth reporting when you call.

Will my insurance cover a sewer backup?

It depends on your policy and on what caused the backup, so contact your insurance provider to confirm what you carry. Backup coverage is often a separate endorsement rather than part of the base policy. Documenting the damage and keeping the plumber's findings helps whatever the answer turns out to be.
